Pre-Workout vs. Non-Stim: How to Compare the Labels
NutraBio BASE vs PRE Stim-Free: caffeine, label amounts and cost.
The reviewed BASE Blue Raspberry label lists 200 mg of caffeine per scoop. NutraBio identifies PRE Stim-Free as caffeine-free. These are different formulas: the reviewed Lemon Burst PRE Stim-Free label also lists more L-citrulline and taurine per scoop, while both labels list 3.2 g of beta-alanine.
This comparison uses BASE Blue Raspberry, 30 servings and PRE Stim-Free Lemon Burst, 20 servings. The numbers belong to those manufacturer label versions. Other flavors, an older tub or a formula update can have different details.

|---|---|---|
| Label serving size | 1 scoop (16.7 g) | 1 scoop (31 g) |
| Label servings per container | 30 | 20 |

Which differences matter for the purchase?
- Whether you want caffeine: if you are specifically shopping for a caffeine-free formula, the reviewed PRE Stim-Free option meets that description; BASE contains 200 mg per labeled scoop. “Pre-workout” by itself does not answer this question.
- What one scoop means: the compared scoops contain 16.7 g and 31 g of powder. Both list 3.2 g of beta-alanine, so a larger scoop does not mean every ingredient amount is larger. They also contain different additional ingredients; use the full linked panels for the complete comparison.
- How much the container costs to use: the BASE package has 30 labeled servings and the PRE Stim-Free package has 20. The live calculation above compares the selected package prices on that basis. It excludes checkout adjustments, shipping and tax and does not make the formulas equivalent.
Why can the label image differ from the product description?
Product names can stay the same when labels change. The BASE photo on WCN includes a vitamin B12 entry that is absent from the manufacturer’s newer Blue Raspberry panel; the serving size, caffeine, L-citrulline, beta-alanine and taurine values compared here agree between those two panels. WCN’s PRE Stim-Free gallery shows Wild Watermelon, so the Lemon Burst amounts above come from NutraBio’s explicitly labeled Lemon Burst panel. Match your actual tub before relying on a complete ingredient list or directions.
These are label comparisons, not WCN taste tests or a claim that a higher amount produces better results. Follow the directions and warnings on the package you purchase. For a store visit, confirm the exact flavor and size with Bakersfield or Santa Clarita; online availability is separate from local shelf stock.

Label sources and scope
Reviewed November 2, 2026. Numeric fields were read from the manufacturer’s exact-flavor panels: BASE Blue Raspberry, 30 servings and PRE Stim-Free Lemon Burst, 20 servings. NutraBio’s PRE Stim-Free product page supplies the caffeine-free description. WCN prices and option availability come from the exact Shopify variants at page load; label facts require review when the package or formula changes.
Use the pre-workout and non-stim collections to narrow your browsing, then check each exact formula. Compare ingredients, amounts per labeled serving, declared caffeine information, directions and warnings before comparing prices. A category name is not a substitute for the product label.
Treat collection names as a starting point
WCN’s pre-workout collection and non-stim collection help you explore the catalog. They do not replace the facts on the selected product’s current package. If avoiding a particular ingredient matters to you, verify it on that label rather than drawing a conclusion from the collection name alone.
Start each comparison with the complete item identity: brand, product, flavor, size and version where stated. Several products can share similar names while using different formulas or quantities. A comparison is most useful when it describes the options a shopper can actually select.
Build a label comparison before choosing
| Field | What to look for | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Formula | Named ingredients and stated amounts | That similar product names mean matching formulas |
| Caffeine information | Any declared amount and the serving it refers to | That a browsing category verifies every ingredient |
| Serving size | The label’s measurement and servings per container | That a scoop is the same size across products |
| Directions and warnings | The current package’s complete instructions and warnings | That another product’s directions can be transferred |
| Selected option | Exact flavor, package size and current price | That a starting price applies to every variant |
Read the amounts in the context of the serving
Keep the serving size beside every ingredient amount you record. A label may display more than one column or distinguish different amounts; read the headings instead of selecting whichever number is largest. If a photo cuts off the top of the panel, ask for the complete label.
A scoop is a product-specific measuring tool, not a universal comparison unit. Do not use one product’s scoop measurement to describe another product. This guide does not recommend a serving amount or suggest changing the directions on the package.
For general label orientation, FDA explains that Supplement Facts panels identify serving size and dietary ingredients, while other ingredients are listed separately. Both areas can matter when comparing the exact products.
Compare price after checking formula differences
Calculate cost per labeled serving from the selected variant’s price and its stated servings per container. Then place that figure beside the formula details. Two packages with the same serving count can still be different purchases because their ingredients, amounts, flavors or sizes differ.
Illustrative example: a $40 package with 20 labeled servings is $2 per serving; a $54 package with 30 labeled servings is $1.80 per serving. These are hypothetical arithmetic examples, not current WCN offers. A lower serving price does not demonstrate stronger effects, better quality or suitability for a particular person.

Use exact information for a clear decision
Make your shortlist around the information you can verify and your own purchase preferences. Record unknowns as unknowns. If a product image is unreadable, a flavor’s ingredient list is absent or a claim is not supported by the current package, ask for clarification before ordering.
Do not treat this comparison as a reason to combine products or transfer directions between them. Questions about personal suitability, medical conditions or medications belong with a qualified health professional. WCN can help locate the exact product information needed for that conversation.
Check your preferred WCN location before traveling
Use the Bakersfield location page or Santa Clarita location page to contact the right team. Give the full product name, flavor and size when asking about availability. Online availability does not confirm physical-store stock. If ordering for pickup, rely on the eligible locations displayed during checkout.
Common questions
Does the non-stim collection name guarantee the formula I want?
No. Use it to browse, then verify the current label for the exact product and flavor. Review the ingredient list, any declared caffeine information, directions and warnings. Ask for the full label if a detail important to you is not clear.
Can I compare two pre-workouts scoop for scoop?
Not without checking their labeled serving sizes. Scoop sizes and the amounts described by a serving can differ. Compare the label’s measurements and ingredient amounts together, and retain each product’s own directions rather than substituting another product’s measuring scoop.
Does a higher price or larger ingredient number mean a better product?
Those numbers alone do not establish a better purchase for you. First confirm the selected option, serving size and complete formula. Price per labeled serving helps compare cost, but it does not prove effects, quality or personal suitability.
What information should I give WCN when asking about a pre-workout?
Provide the brand, full product name, flavor, package size and the specific label question you need answered. If planning a visit, name the Bakersfield or Santa Clarita location and ask about that exact option’s local availability before traveling.
